Storywise, it may not be as enticing as 'Code Geass' but its top notch animations and music makes it worthy of attention. Not having a clear downright goal, he fights solely to protect the ones he loved and is willing to pay the ultimate price for his actions even against other bearers who like him, possesses the same ability which would put them on a higher level closer to god but would love nothing more than to see despair and destruction. Unlike 'Code Geass', the main character is sitting as a secondary and would only begin to take responsibility when he witnessed the people close to him perishing away. 'Guilty Crown' puts the center of attention to a naive main character who is drawn into a battle written by fate. Unknowingly to him, a dark secret lies hoping to be discovered and he may not be the only one to possess such a gift. Knowing what he always wanted to accomplish and being the sole mastermind behind all the calamities that followed, he takes the path of a dark knight and influence both nations from within whether it's through honesty and trust, or lies and deceit.
